Getting rid of searched for cities or locations from little yellow dropdown folder?

I not looking to delete things from the recently found but the drop down menu that remembers cities (or places if looking via the POI section.

I’m talking about when you search for a city or change the city for an address to look up. There is the little yellow folder to the upper Left that keeps past cities that will drop down if pressed. (The same is true when you search for a POI and “Spell Name.” The folder will drop down past finds like places to eat, etc.) Sometimes these cities or places are only used once and are just in the way after that. Is there a way to delete these other than erasing all personal data?
