Nuvi's need a built in level

I like pictures to be straight, decals installed evenly, and so on. I also drive a 4Runner with a ride comparable to a park bench placed on a camel. I find myself constantly straightening out the Nuvi. So I'd like a poi for Mars so I can purchase a hover mount.
All joking aside, does this bug anyone else or am I certifiable?

Gotta go, my wife says it's time for my medication and she wants me to try on a really nice white jacket!

Officer I'm sorry I was going the wrong way on that one-way street but my GPS told me to turn left ... Oh, I'm still getting a ticket, okay then the GPS will see ya in court!

It's cozy in here

I can't get my hands free to level the thing, and when I tilt my head the dash is crooked:)

Try a vent mount

Hey sammig, Maybe you should try a vent mount. I bought one and love it.

boats

Go to a yacht shop. Search for such things used on boats/ships. Also, while there, pick up an anchor and 20 feet of rope. LoL.
Nice suit btw...Look mom no hands!

Obsessive

Yes, I have this issue too and there is no cure. I have to have the screen perfectly squared up to my line-of-sight, angled just right or I will constantly ajust it. My 4Runner windshield is not the best for mounting it. Not much room between the dash and windshield, but I make it work. Maybe there is some 12 step group we could join to get over this.

Anal? Yes - but understandable

Suggestion - go to Home Depot, Lowe's or your HW store of choice and purchase a little line level & epoxy. You can epoxy the little bubble level to the top of your nuvi. . . problem solved.

Etch Horizontal Lines

Etch horizontal lines into your windshield. Then you can just align the Nuvi with the lines.

Bucket of water and some cork

You can use the epoxy from your local hardware store to bond the cork to create a little raft for your Nuvi. Then use the left over epoxy to affix the raft to your dash. Fill the bowl half way until the Nuvi becomes buoyant. Now your Nuvi will always be level, naturally!

If you decide to do this then you should also change your vehicle http://www8.garmin.com/vehicles/product.html?vName=boat

Canvas Sport Jacket

Your wife is right, but those long sleeves . . . .
To answer your question, I’ve found one of the bean bag mounts works pretty well. They’ve a new one out now sort of looks like a bowl, you put your sticky dash mount in it and then your Nuvi. Looks like it should be at least as good as the bean bag.
Good luck with the new jacket.

Level

If you really want get a small level tube, put some double-sided tape on it and affix it to the top of your nuvi.

Mine is a little crooked all the time. I dont mind it.

Levels...

Jerry bet Kramer that he wouldn't build levels in his apartment. Kramer wanted to get rid of all his furniture and put "levels" throughout. This has nothing to do with our Toyota's but I hate it too when my Nuvi gets sideways. I moved mine off of the windshield and installed a Proclip (www.proclipusa.com) in both my truck and my wife's Honda. These things are pretty good and you might find one will keep you "level". You either install something to keep you "level" or you install "levels"! It's up to you... Gb
