Looks like this forum reflects the same sentiments. Some for, some against. Personally, I don't mind the profit motive, I believe if someone runs a red light, they should be caught and fined. But officials of jurisdictions that shortening the caution light time to increase revenues should be thrown out of office.

Plus, in our city. the cameras have assisted in solving crimes by placing a car and driver in a certain location at a specific time.
