Being new to the GPS World, and having my Nuvi 660 only a couple of weeks, I have a few of questions. My first is: If I use Garmin's POI loader, download POI's, can I transfer them to a SD card and work off that without loading the file into Nuvi? I want to get comfortable playing with files before I screw something up.

yes

If you're 660 is anything like my nuvi 350, you can load POI's either directly in to the machine, or a SD card.

Thanks GC, I was hoping that would be the case. I would like to put the Red Lights on a card, but didn't want to put them into Nuvi. It's working like a charm, and I hate to mess it up. Will it automatically pick this info. up off the card?

Ikea File invalid?

Trying to download Ikea POI loader is saying invalid, I was able to load the Lowes file. please advise.
