Windmills?

Oh the elusive icon. I've been a member for 46 weeks and relatively active. But not in the "posting" area. I get one or two weeks of active status then am traveling. So, I get no windmill. Oh woe is me.

Wilt thy windmill be soest mine? Nay perchance I do fully believe.

Windmills...

Memorial Day

I just returned from Savannah, GA. My traffic didn't pick up any updates while there. Oh well, there was never any traffic anyway.

Windmills come and windmills

Windmills come and windmills go, but taxes and politicians are here to stay.

I find it an irony it took

I find it an irony it took me forever to understand the idea of windmills on this site.

Windmill

I didn't use to think having the windmill or the other icons was a big deal - until I lost my windmill due to some inactivity. I have it back now and I intend to keep it.

Windmills

Easy to keep when your retired.

I look at this site almost every day. Well that is if I'm not out riding the ATV in the back country of Idaho.

It don't get better than this!

Gotta try to check in weekly

Gotta try to check in weekly in order to keep it up. On the weeks when you're busy, chime in on a msg about keeping the windmill and bang, you're set. smile

Relatively active.

If you are relatively active, just practice each time you get on the site going to the Chit Chat Thread for the week and say hi. The Chit Chat Thread starts over every Monday around 10 am central time, just look for that weeks chat. If you are on the site once a week that is all you have to do.
Just remember to say hi when you visit and it won't be long before you see the windmill!!

What about vacations ?

Allow me to elaborate a bit. We all have (or should have) a GPS. Therefore we all move around the planet. And we sometimes get in places where there's no Web access.

I'm thinking about the two weeks I'll be spending in Corsica come September.

That time will be dedicated to a very time-consuming sport called Farniente. From Far - to Do, and Niente - Nothing.

I'll be away for two full weeks, and won't have time to post during that period.

Does that mean I'll loose my windmill ? And once I come back, how do I get it back ?

Or is there a way to somehow accumulate "credit" prior to leaving on vacation ?

Spera, (Someone correct me

Spera,

(Someone correct me if I am wrong) but you need to be active for 3 out of 5 weeks, to keep your windmill, so assuming you post the week before you leave, and the week you return, you should still be able to keep it. You'll lose 2, but will gain those back, as the weeks roll off.

Make sense?

It makes perfect sense, THANKS !

I'll be doing just that, then - and I hope nobody else WILL correct you smile

Oh - and I'll have a thought for all of you from Corsica.

In the meantime I'll be welcoming people from all over Europe in our rental here in Grasse. No, I will not be posting my website's address, unless someone confirms it won't be taken in any wrong way.

We still have availability for our largest apartment in July, mind you, with view of the coast...
