When is Garmin ecoRoute HD Vehicle Diagnostics Communicator coming?

As of today May 12th: There is a Garmin ecoRoute HD Vehicle Diagnostics Communicator update via WebUpdater. Does anyone have an idea when this device is going on sale? You can pre-order on Amazon dot com but no official date.

I have to say, I'm a bit miffed by Garmin not making this compatible with all units that have EcoRoute. My 775T has it, yet appears to be left behind as with other units. What are they thinking? confused

Thinking? If we can get some sucker to pay this much for this toy, we can surely convince him that it only interfaces to a new unit.

You may be right. However, they would sell a lot more if they expanded the unit list.

Actually, the device and SW are for engine management and diagnostics. Useful from what I've seen of it. EcoRoute; not so much.

According to Garmin's

According to Garmin's website it could be another 2 months before we see this unit

"Normally leaves the warehouse in 5 - 8 weeks"
