my magellan maestro 3225 does NOT talk.. Does anyone know, why?

My maestro suggenly stopped talking. I guess she is upset.

I was thinking of changing battery. any one knows if it will fix.

It is best, in general, not to just take wild guesses when trying to fix something.
Why would you suspect the battery for something like that ??
Is the battery designed to be "user replaceable"??

Does the unit still make other noises ??
If not, then the speaker may be shot.

If it does make other sounds, then a hard reset might be helpful. There should be a tiny reset button (hole) somewhere on the case. Do that from the main screen.

Also check the options to be sure the "voice" didn't get turned off by mistake.

Voice

Sometimes my 3250 says directions but doesn't mention street names- a reset usually get it back on track. Checking the voice options would as mentioned above be the first step.
