I have a Nuvi 350 although I don't use it very much, I purchased it a couple of years ago figuring that Garmin would keep the option of uploading routes like my older Garmin V never dreaming that they would actually take options out of newer products.
So to get around that problem, last year I created a route using mapsource and used way points and edited the description in them to give me directions as I approached them, I then uploaded them using POI loader as gpx files.
I am sure they showed up as flags on the Nuvi and it worked fine.
Although it's been a while since I did that project, I tried to do what I thought I had done last time but I cant get the way points to show up on the Nuvi map.
I tried it several times to no avail, am I missing a step somewhere along the way.
I did try with a program called EasyGPS uploaded the same file I created with mapsource and it placed them in the Nuvi as favorites, the way points showed on the Nuvi map and even the text I used and as I approached them I got an alert but I am sure I only used mapsource last year and only got a flag where the way point was and an alert as I approached the way point and a description along the top of the Nuvi.
