Carring case that came with my garmin 660 didn't have a
strap to secure it in the case and one day it fell out
so I put a velcro strap across the open of the case.
.
I like this idea, and I have extra velcro.
Case Changes
The case that came with my C550 is zippered and protects the device very well. The Garmin case I had to buy for my 765T, because they don't include one, is so tight that you can almost pull a muscle trying to extract it. Odd how Garmin screwed up between the StreetPilot series and the 7xx series.
I support the right to keep and arm bears.
Good idea.

Carrying Case Idea
Thanks for the great tip.
Alan-Garmin c340
765 Sans Case but...
... just as well.
I wanted one that was tight because my intent (on my motorcycle) is to pocket it and listen to instructions rather than mount it.
I got lucky with the case... didn't think about the fact that the audio out jack was on the side.
My initial choice, which I deemed too large, might have made stringing the earbuds out problematic. The one I chose, yes very tight so likely the same one aardvark chose, is perfect for my needs and still fits in my riding vest's side pocket as well as the inside chest pocket.
