I downloaded software version 4.90 to my garmin nuvi 650 and now i have no voices. how do i roll back the version.

Have you checked to see that you've not had your volume controls muted and that the voice you're using is a TTS voice?

yes I checked to make sure the volume is up and it is not muted

But

But did you check that the voice you are using is a TTS voice? In some cases a firmware update will reset the voice to one that is non TTS so just be sure that the name of the voice the Nuvi is currently using ends with (TTS).

You can check the voice being used under Settings - Locale.
