I used my GPS while no doubt others were hunting eggs so I guess I could say I used my GPS during the egg hunt although the two events were not otherwise connected. smile

No Arizona Radar Vans

I am late checking into the forum this week because I just finished my Vegas to Phoenix commute. I did not see a single DPS photo radar van the entire circuit. I did however see a great DPS presence with officers in patrol cars.

Vegas was crazy with police this weekend enforcing speed limits. There were even officers stopping speeders in my neighborhood which is miles from The Strip and away from the 15 and 215. There must have been a special enforcement push because there were even patrol cars from Mesquite, NV on the ramps leading to the 215.

Good week to all.

Drive safely, the life you save may be mine!

Have a Great Week!

Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Have a great week.

Someone is looking after us here by sending us the great weather.

Cheers

By far, the strongest earthquake I’ve felt in all the years I’ve lived in So. California happened yesterday at 3:40 PM local time and was of a 7.2 magnitude, centered just across the Mexican border from Calexico. This, according to a local seismologist was twice as strong as the recent Haitian earthquake. Fortunately, there was only minor damage – pictures dropped from walls, shelves emptied, lots of cracks in walls, etc, and a few broken water mains. Again, fortunately, so far there have been no gas line breaks reported, and only a few minor injuries (like someone falling down a stairs while trying to evacuate, and countless faintings). It seemed to me that it lasted a lot longer than usual too – about 2 minutes, even though the news reports said it was only about 50 seconds. Since then we’ve had lots and lots of aftershocks. I believe the lack of major damage (so far) is due to strict building codes here in this part of the US, but when people come to work on Monday morning, there may be discoveries of more previously undiscovered damage. We’ll see.

...NOT to live in California.

I'll agree with that.

Poor Buzz looks like he has sticks for legs. They just won't quite bend at the knees. But, you have to give the guy credit for trying. I wouldn't want to be on that show. But, you would also think that Ocho Cinco would be somewhat better than he is; being an athlete and all.

Spring Garden -

Well, the ground isn't warm enough for the seeds to germinate, but the wife is chompin' at the bit to get things into the ground.

We always plant stuff too soon the first time, then later, when the ground warms up, plant them again. Must be time for phase 1 of the cycle.

Hope every one has a good week and your ground is warm enough to grow stuff.
