New User Help Please

I just purchased a Magellan RoadMate 1700 7inch screen.It did not come with a software disk and this site says to uae RoadMate Tools to download poi data to the gps. Does anyone know where I can get it?

Thank you sir but I can't find it listed anywhere on the Magallan site.. I'll try looking again but none of the faq's even mention it.

Yes, I'd definitely search the Magellan website first. Garmin GPS units don't come with POILoader, which is Garmin's free version of what you're looking for. It's a quick, free and easy download from Garmin. Probably the same for Magellan.

Also, look around page 40 in the 2200 manual file. It seems like you need Magellan's RoadMate tools on CD or something, which SHOULD have come with your GPS. I'd call/email and ask for it.

Also, in my "Googling" around, I found where people were saying Garmin's POILoader will work with Magellan units. Try that one at your own risk, though, as it's not verified...
