I was reading through the article a little bit on this and it looks as if the Garmin Nuvifone A50 gets location data from cellular mobile telephone sites as well as directly from GPS satellites. Since dead reckoning seems to have disappeared from Garmin devices, this may be quite helpful in cases where a clear view of the sky isn't possible. I would like to get an A50 and hopefully be able to use it with the Slacker Radio Andoid application.
