Hi....still new to this technical forum..
From instructions:
Adding TourGuide to the title will allow for a radius alert instead of along the road alert. See Poi Factory post http://www.poi-factory.com/node/13958
I drive a RV approx 35000 lbs.. So I would like to know about 1/2 mile ahead.. How can I do this ?
TIA
.
Once you name the files (eg. RVTourGuide.gpx), load them to the unit with the POI Loader, and set the alert range. In your case, it would be 2640ft.

You have to change poi
You have to change poi loader from Express to Manual mode to get to the distance alert screen.

You will need to go higher on a radius alert as it is not dead-on as a direct line of site alert... If you want a quarter mile alert try 3500 - 4000 ft. You will need to do your own test if you want it to hit exact.
1320 ft is not a quarter mile on a radius (TourGuide)alert. Play with it and have fun with it.
Hope this has helped.

If you are trying to get alerts for locations off the interstates you are driving on.I found 1 1/2 to 2 miles works well for TourGuide.
