Transfer POI's from one Garmin to another Garmin

How do you extract existing POI's from the Garmin. We have a number of Garmins (10)and want to transfer some of the POI's in one Garmin to another.

You are talking about custom

You are talking about custom pois correct? If you don't have the custom pois on a computer it will be hard to pick and chose. You can hook the one gps up to a computer using a usb cable.Open up the Garmin drive and go to the Garmin folder click on it and click on poi folder. You will now see poi.gpi.Make a copy on the computer of it.Hook the units up one at the time to the computer and paste the poi.gpi the same location you removed from the original copy.

Thank you.

Thank you.

i would recomend from now on

i would recomend from now on though, to do the following. Load your POIs one category at a time. Go into your garmin devices and change the name of the poi.gpi to say "mcdonalds.gpi" then load your next custom poi. Repeat previously, your mcdonalds.gpi and your new poi.gpi will be in the folder and accessable. I do this for every poi i install that way i can just remove the ones i no longer need. I also make a copy of the .gpi files on my computer so its easy to share with someone else if need be.

hope that helps a little
