If I load a bunch of POI files to my Garmin will those results come up when I am searching for a place to navigate to? For example, if load all the McDonalds using POI loader and in that list are locations that aren't in the internal memory of the unit, will they show up in search results when looking for a McDonalds?
You will find them under:
You will find them under: where too: extras, custom POI's.
Miss POI
two different sets of data
Your unit has two sets of data. One set is the "built-ins" which is part of the map data while the other represents the custom POI you load. You search each individually and they don't cross-pollinate between the two.

Thanks for the info. Btw, I like your signature.
More options needed
Closest one to you first.
Sometimes I wish you could sort these differently.

You always have the option
You always have the option of the near tab at bottom to select another city and get the 50 closest for that area.
