I went with my son-in-law the other day, and he had the kids, who wanted to stop at a Toys R Us. He had the Magellian GPS. I tried to use it and was greatly disappointed with the POIs and the screen. I felt like throwing it out the window, and I had bought for them in 2008.
I am so glad I have Garmin units.

I bought my wife a nuvi 255 for Christmas. Now we have 5!! When I plugged the 255 into the pc a free map update was available. I downloaded it to the pc and updated the 255gps. Then I wondered if I could update my nuvi 660 with the same upgrade. Not a chance. Oh well, I wasn't trying to get anything for free, just thought I would see if I could update my 660 also.

It rains in LA?
It's weird to see heavy rain in Los Angeles especially when it happens for several days in a row. The last storm of this caliber was in the mid 90s when the El Niño hit, IIRC. I can hear the sound of water pounding the roof, windows, streets as I'm typing this message now. Pretty wild!

Book of Eli was very good, I thought. But then again, I only rate movies by body counts, number of explosions, car chases, etc..... The more of each usually results in a higher rating from me

Looks like the people of Massachusetts definitely had the best interest of the country in mind and got it right! and have finally re-railed the train after the nations derailment of last years election. Thank Goodness!

I thought it was a terrific movie; best I have been to in a long time. The time flew by; couldn't believe I was in the theatre that long! I saw the 3D version. Now I want a 3D HDTV!
