Cleaning Your Unit's Touch Screen

Sooner or later, it's gotta be done - clean the touch screen...what to use...?

I use these things - they contain the recommended isopropyl alcohol, and are a very soft pad. They come in a box of 100 pads, and cost less than $3. I also use them to clean my glasses, as well as for the purpose that they were designed. Handy to have around...

Good idea

Good idea. Thanks. I always wonder what to use.

I use

I use Klear Screen on a clean microfiber cloth. I also use that to clean the screen of my Palm and all the LCDs in the house. If I don't have Klear Screen handy, I use plain water.

Great idea

That product is in line with Garmin's recommendations, and is an easy, handy way to get the job done.

I've been using mine with the protective plastic that came with it. lol

I read in some of the product reviews that the touch screen could have problems after cleaning, so I've been reluctant to take off the plastic. You can actually buy more of it in electronic stores, that was my plan. I think I'll try your alcohol wipes instead.

Thanks.

A homebrew of 1/2 water and 1/2 70% alcohol and a microfiber cloth...you can buy a little 2 oz spray bottle in most drug stores and the mix last a LONG time smile
