Maybe damaged Nuvii 750

Without going into too much details..
It wouldnt come on for a whoel day. I plugged it into USB. I put it on its craddle in the car still no power.
Next day.. tried again. no power. So did a few things here and there.. ANd put it back on cradle. 5 mins down the road, it turns on. WOW nice heh??
No not nice, driving in the middle of highway, it tells me to exit.. so i exit. Then it says make a left. Im like WTF a left. But my destination was like 500 feet from the exit ramp.
Even more stoopider.. on my way home, GO HOME, its trying to take me a long way around, rather than this straight street that it normally take me to. Hell, i was on the highway, and it was acting as if i was a strret over running parralel.. HOW? Whats wrong with this stoopid thing.. is it time to give it away??
Oh yea also, whats the gold lil circle on the back of the GPS unit

That's an MCX connector for an external antenna.
My 750 acted up like that a couple of years ago but only for about 4 hours and mysteriously cured itself never to act up again. Go figure !
You may be having a battery issue. Charge it for a good period of time and do a hard reset and you may be ok. You may have a corrupt file on the unit which can be difficult to identify.

I've had it happen once on my 760. Doing a hard reset fixed the issue and it has never happened again.
The hard reset procedure for the 750/760 is:
"Power the unit off. Press and hold (and continue to hold) the bottom-right corner of the screen while powering the unit on. Continue to hold the screen until the "Do you want to erase all user data?" prompt appears. Press "yes" and the unit will reboot. Reset all your location settings and user preferences."
Note, this process will probably delete all your 'favorites' so if you can get a backup copy of the current.gpx file off the Nuvi before you do the reset it would save you having to enter all the favorites again.
To restore your favorites from a backup just rename the copied current.gpx file to temp.gpx and copy it back onto the Nuvi will and into the Garmin/gpx folder.
Nuvi 350, 760, 1695LM, 3790LMT, 2460LMT, 3597LMTHD, DriveLuxe 50LMTHD, DriveSmart 61, Garmin Drive 52, Garmin Backup Camera 40 and TomTom XXL540s.
