List of Text To Speech 3rd party voices?

In order to hear Street names being said, I hear that I must select Text To Speech Voices....

I also hear that most 3rd party voices are not Text To Speech voices... Fortunately, I found this out before purchasing.....

Does 3rd party Text To Speech voices exist, and do they just install via Drag & Drop, or, does it have to over-write an existing Garmin voice?

TTS Voice Problems

Recently a friend bought a new Garmin 260w. When I attempted to load TTS voices, it would not accept them stating unknown format. Did Garmin change the voice format or just doesn't allow TTS anymore?

Different TTS engine

Hi avidtrucker,

I think the 260w is a bit like the 255w. They use a different TTS Voice engine (RealSpeak). This explains why it did not work.

Did you use the WebUpdater to load the voices or did you copy them from another GPS?If you used the formet, it should have worked. If not, this may explain why it didn't.
