Male vs Female vs GPS vs RD

I find it interesting that there are a lot of females on this site. But there arent a lot of females on the radar detector forum I frequent.

At first, I thought it was a technology/gaget thing, a guy thing, but this site has proven me wrong. So what is it?

Okay, I'll bite. Danica and guys love to go fast? Women don't like to get lost? There is no one to talk to when driving alone...TTS GPSr fills the void for everyone?

Am I close? What's the answer?

That's true! We (men) go

That's true! We (men) go around in circles before stopping to ask someone how to get somewhere. Women will stop and ask...hummmm...there is a lesson in this.

RD vs GPS

I'm pretty careful watching my speed so have never felt the need to have an RD.

GPS is so cool. I've always loved maps. I love moving maps more. I love knowing where I'm going even more.

I wonder what the true count would be here if everyone revealed their gender, but yes my impression is that there are more females here than at the average techno-geek forum I frequent.

What was the question??? I tripped over your subject line...LoL...

Oh yeah,
I can't answer the other questions, but from experience, my wife couldn't care less about a radar detector-had one, she didn't care. Now, the gpsr - she loves it. I don't think it's the technology or the how does it work thing...perhaps more of a security thing knowing she won't get lost and have to stop for directions.

I LOVE BOTH

My wife hated the RD until she received 2 speeding tickets in 2 days. She asked me to buy her an RD and she hasn’t received a speeding ticket in 5 years. She loves her RD. I Love my Garmin C550 because it keeps my wife quite, NO MORE BACK SEAT DRVING! I LOVE MY GARMIN

That is great, many ppl dont

That is great, many ppl dont like RDs until they receive tickets. But you still have to be careful and use your head. I was being stupid a couple of mnths ago and was out there by myself going way over the PSL. He hit me with Instant On radar. Nothing I could do.

I have noticed that my wife tends to be more quiet now, now that I have the GPSr. I always tell her that if I need advice, I'll ask the GPSr. She still hates the RD.
