There is a new voice called "Yeti" at the Garmin Garage. I saw this mentioned in a post when I did a search, but there didn't seem to be a thread on it.

This voice does not do Text to speech, so directions are "in 1/4 mile turn left." No street names, no traffic or weather advisories, just basic directions.

This file, in MHO is a total waste of time. Its just bunch of gunts and goans and no directions are given at all. Why oh why can't Garmin work on improving all the things that are wrong with the units/software/firmware instead of wasting money, time and software resources with something so useless? Garmin, for 2010 why not try to improve things with existing units and not try to add worthless voices that I really don't think anyone will actually use, once they hear it?
Is anyone out there at Garmin reading any of these forums?

This voice had almost killed my unit. Because of it another voices too were giving my hard time and ultimately i had to delete it!!

The same thing could be said about healthcare. why not fix what's wrong instead of redoing the entire thing.
Kind of comical
This voice seems to be just something comical garmin users can use to lighten up their day. I agree though that garmin really could be giving us voices that actually are functional but I still enjoyed this.

Yeah, well I am a bit of a Sasquatch lover but regardless even if I wasn't the novelty voices are still a bit of an enjoyment. I do agree though that garmin should actually come out with some voices that we can all use.
