How do I create custom voice alerts for the Garmin 1490T device

I would like to know if any one knows how to create custom voice alerts for Garmin Nuvi 1490T. The 1490T device doesn't play .mp3 files and I'm not sure if there is a way to create a custom voice alerts for the custom POIs.
Please let me know if anyone knows how to create it. I will greately appreciate it.
You need
You need to create .wav files in place of the unsupported MP3 files. Following all the other normal rules about files names and placement.
