Garmin Mobile PC

Just so we know what we are talking about, here's the link to the Garmin page on the Garmin Mobile PC:

Have on and only one question: When in use, does the Garmin Mobile PC display, across the top of the screen, the names of the next upcoming road?

My Nuvi 650 dos this; friend with newer Garmin units have been deeply disappointed to find this feature missing from their units.

To clarify: when I have set up my 650 to take me to a destination, the names of the upcoming roads do NOT display across the top of the screen.

When I turn on my 650 and use it solely as an illuminated road map, the names of the upcoming roads DO display across the top of the screen

A lack of that feature in the Garmin Mobile PC would be an absolute deal breaker for me.

One of you list Gurus must know the answer to this one, no???

Many thanks,

Here is a review that Marvin did, perhaps the answer can be found there. If not, I suspect that an email to Marvin would get a reply.

Marvin has also written quite a bit here about Laptop and UMPC Road Navigation

Thanks, Jim.

Googled Marvin, found my way to his Forum, joined, posted my question and got an answer almost immediately: the Garmin Moblle PC does indeed show upcoming streets, both when in the "take me there" mode and when being used as an illuminated mapt
