Nuvi 750 Map Update

I have a 750 with maps that are old (2007)! I noticed that Garmin has a new map update($69) and lifetime update ($119). Is there a better "deal" out there or is this it? I am noticing that I do need something because with all the new construction completed 2 years ago in my area, my 750 can not deal with it.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and Happy Holidays to all.

Amazon

The best deal on Garmin maps right now that I know of is the nuMaps Lifetime card at Amazon for $79.99.

That sounds pretty good. Thanks.

Anyone know of anything better?

That's not only the best deal out there right now, it's probably the best deal you'll EVER see for lifetime updates.

As a point of comparison, a one-time map update at the Garmin site is $79, though you can buy the one-time update on Amazon for $49.....still, lifetime for $79 ( 4 updates per year for say an average GPS lifetime of 3 years) is a pretty good deal comparatively.

I still think Garmin should offer an annual map update for FREE, but that's a whole other topic.........

I agree. Buy now before the price goes up.

+1

Another vote for the Amazon deal. I just ordered mine last weekend. I'd say jump on this price before it goes away, frankly.

SOLD!!!!!!

SOLD!!!!!! Thanks to all..............

750 map update

Best Buy has the map update DVD for Garmin for about $36. When you load it into your computer, it takes you to the Garmin website to get the most recent update or you can update from the DVD. Garmin updates maps every quarter. The DVD is about 3 months old. I chose to update from the website, but to do this you need a high speed connection--still took several hours to complete the process.

It does take some time to

It does take some time to download and then install on the GPS but that is a great price. I bought one from Amazon last year for about $89 or so on sale. I had some reservations about not ordering direct from Garmin but they were false. Worked fine and on my 3rd update. I'd grab it if you think you'll have that unit for a while. You don't get to transfer it to another unit.

I'm convinced. Thanks for

I'm convinced. Sounds like the best deal. Thanks for the help. I get it on the 30th of December.

Digital is more!

If you click on the link there for the "digital version" - not purchasing the card - it's more money. The version where they don't have to ship you anything is $95.99. The version where they ship you the physical card with the code is only $79.99. Both are sold by Amazon. Gotta love it. smile

Edit: Went ahead and ordered it. NOT the digital version. smile
