I tried searching and didn't find a forum topic relating to Christmas Lights so I thought I would add one. I know they are very localized but I thought it would be nice to have a list of them.
If you are in or will be traveling near, the Medina, OH area, check out 41.112127,-81.830195. He has his entire house lit as well as his neighbors and broadcasts music via FM and syncs his lights to the music. The shows is almost exactly 30 minutes long. It's the best personally owned light display I've ever seen. It rivals the Mason, OH guy that got all the news coverage some years back.
hmmm
Usually I just drive around looking at lights as I pass through a neighborhood. This could be a great poi file.
I like the idea
that's a great idea for a poi. I may try and get one going for long island.
Look for web sites
There are some web sites that track good Christmas displays. An excellent site for Chicagoland is http://www.chicagolandchristmaslights.com/
I really like the displays that have lights synchronized to music played over a FM transmitter.
I Added St. Louis
Several days ago, I added s POI file with about 35 St. Louis Christmas Light displays. It is under outdoors at:

Some of them also have the lights synchronized to music played over a FM transmitter.
