.
It's relatively easy to create a POI csv file in Excel. All you need is 3 or 4 columns (the unit won't read more than 4 columns from a csv)...
Col A: Longitude
Col B: Latitude
Col C: Location Name
Col D: Comment
Don't include headers on your columns. Here's an example of a POI csv I created, using three columns:
Col A Col B Col C
-73.6417 40.7721 L I R R - Albertson
-72.1323 40.98 L I R R - Amagansett
-73.4203 40.6802 L I R R - Amityville
Be sure to use positive values for North Latitude or East Longitude, negative for South Latitude or West Longitude. If your file is for Mexico, you will have negative values for Longitude (first column) and positive for Latitude (second column). When you are done, save it as a csv file, and you should be good to go.

Template or Macro for making POI File
Download a small poi from the list and then clear the contents in each row and put in what you want. When your through just rename it and save.

Column D
If you want to include a description, then put a brief description in Column D. This can be a brief description of the location or something as simple as the address and phone number.
To drop down a line, hold the ALT Key and hit Enter. This has the same effect as hitting enter when you are typing in any other program.
