Nuvi 465T...Bricked

I just received 2 new GPSr. Nuvi 465T and Zumo 550.
Got them just before work. The Nuvi worked great. Next morning I tried to register them. The Nuvi said it had to update before I could register it. It seemed to go okay, but then it locked up. "Loader" and "Loading..." displayed on the first screen along w/ Garmin's name. Couldn't do a thing. Called tech support. Played some more.
Bottom line it was less than 15 hours old and is now getting sent back. They will send me a new one still in the box.

Now I'm afraid to update the Zumo!!! That will wait until I get back from my Hatfield McCoy ATV trip next week!

Bummer!

I hate that. Didn't even get to play with it.

Hope the replacement works OK.

Too Bad

Too bad about the first one, but at least I did have the Zumo to play with. It will be okay in the end I am sure.

Last night

Last night the replacement Nuvi 465T came. Of course I was at work!!! Had to wait until 03:15 to take it out and play with it.
First ting I did was register it online w/ Garmin and make sure it worked this time!!! No problems at all. Updated and installed my POIs and custom vehicles. All is Good!!!

Had to update the Nuvi

I was having some issues w/ the Nuvi 465T shutting off, then rebooting instead of recalculating. Very annoying. Checked w/ Garmin's site/Web Updater and there was an update to correct something similar. Did the update and all seems well so far. Only been on one round trip w/ it, 525 miles. No rebooting!!!! Makes me like it again!

The update fixed...

The update fixed the problem. No re-booting now. Recalculates just fine.
The other day I was stuck in the city driving truck, rather than my normal Detroit>Kokomo>Windsor run. In and out of the terminal 5-6 times. Looks like someone had been scribbling on my MapSource!!!
