New Firmware 3.40 for Nuvi 13xx and 14xx

 

Garmin has released update firmware for the Nuvi 13xx and 14xx models. The firmware can be obtained using webupdater or a direct download from:

The change log reads:

Firmware 3.40

Changes made from version 3.30 to 3.40:
* Enhanced ecoRoute experience.
* Stop button now allows cancellation of a route calculation on the main page.
* Corrected an issue where some roundabouts would not show the roundabout icon.
* Corrected city search when using the World Clock to display all cities, not just those for which detailed maps are available.
* Corrected behavior of the vehicle selection page.
* Added a timeout for Bluetooth connections.
* Corrected text alignment issues in right to left languages.
* Fixed a shut down that could occur if searching for an intersection.
* Added ability to change the phone number of built in Points of Interest.
* Corrected unexpected behavior when adding a stop to a route in the 1400 series.

This update will also install a new version of GPS software. The new version is GPS FW v4.10

To install the update, connect the nuvi to the PC's USB port and allow it to be detected. Then drag the downloaded file from the link above onto the WebUpdater icon.

Thanks for the help.

are there problems with firmware version? I've heard of nuvi shutting off, restarting, and the traffic icon disappering.
