Garmin 765T turns off

It only turns off in about 2 minutes after tapping in a POI or destination. If I use it without going to a specific destination it stays on continously.
Seems to have happened after downloading some of the various optional vehicles in the travel screen. I took it back to Sam's and got a new one but I'm afraid to download any more of those optional vehicles.

I would go on the premise you had a defect in the unit. Try it for a week or so without the new vehicles. Then, try it with the new vehicle files. You'll know what the cause is either way.
If it's the vehicles, simply delete them and see what that does. Now, one thing to remember is, it may be as few as one vehicle that is causing the problem; i.e. a corrupt file.

not a good sign, remove everything you've installed on it, if u have.
