Initially, I could not get a newly generated POI file to load to my Kenwood (Garmin GPS) DNX5140. It would attempt to read the newly burned disk and eventually return a "disk error." It took two calls to Kenwood to resolve the issue. It turns out that you MUST use 3'rd party software to burn the POI to a CD/DVD as a "Data Disk.” If you use Microsoft Windows to format a blank disk, create a “Garmin folder, “drag and drop” the POI file into the folder and finalize it, it won’t work. This tip is missing from Kenwood's documentation.
