You realize it's just a question of time before it gets here BUT at least we'll remain safe with our enforcement cameras POI.

What part of obeying the speed limit do you all fail to understand. Big Brother is going to make money on these because FOOLS and very inconsiserate people refuse to obey the speed limit or insist on running through red lights. I almost gor hit by a left turn FOOL today who sped up when the light was way red. Come-on, is your time so valuable that you would endanger others that share (term used loosely)the road with you.

If a line can be drawn between the powers granted and the rights retained, it would seem to be the same thing, whether the latter be secured by declaring that they shall not be abridged, or that the former shall not be extended.

I do, however, think I hear Little Bo Peep calling.
Going to the bathroom isn't against the law either, but do you want someone filming you doing that?
If I go to the bathroom in the middle of the road, I have no problem with a camera capturing that.
What a silly analogy. Driving a car is a public activity performed in a public place. There can be no expectation of privacy in that instance. I personally see no difference between a camera on every street corner vs a constable on every street corner. At least as far as privacy is concerned.
BEAUTIFUL
Incredible how technology evolves....

Stealth too...
Got to like that they will look 'just like steel posts' and be hidden and not announced...
This type of camera can only be about making money and has nothing to do with increasing safety.

wiat until they
start using the cameras ALREADY in place, for traffic, at many intersections now. They would take little to convert to speed AND traffic use.
wow,
only a matter of time before they are sneaking them onto US highways.
yadda, yadda, yadda

Ha Ha Ha.
I suspect it's not so much about hiding the things as it is about avoiding this.

Oh my
I for one welcome our traffic control Overlords.
I just don't see the problem
If you don't break the law, it doesn't matter how many cameras they put up.
How much is too much?

They are just 50 miles from Vermont highways already...
Look at this photo of a nice camera in Montreal :
