Wonder what the 1450 is?

At the Garmin website, when using the compare feature, you can list both the 1490T and the new 1450. But--there's no longer a price for the older 1490T. I wonder if that model is just going away? From the comparision chart in fact, there's no difference between the two. You have to look at the descriptions to find out that the only difference seems to be bluetooth on the 1490T.

Can't say as this is an improvement given Garmin's recent record of cheapening their products, but the price is much better at least. Paid $470 for my 1490T in June, and it's still buggy enough that I carry my old (reliable) 200W along on trips. How bad is that?

Website Error

I think you are seeing a website error as the 1490T still has a price shown on the page where you pick the devices you want to compare:

https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=134

There is a $50 premium for bluetooth ($449 compared to $499)

You're probably right...

Because the compare page did show the list price of $499 as you point out. More interesting to me however, is the fact that the street price of the 1490T is now way down to below $400 after being on the market for less than 6 months. I really should have waited, but I just thought I needed to have the latest toy at the time...never again.
