Its been weeks since I was last on. My computer crashed and it has taken several weeks to restore links that I viewed daily. Glad to be back among the factory viewers.

If you use Firefox, I strongly recommend Xmarks extension. It backs up and synchronizes your favorites among the several computers you use regularly.

Backup
I use Acronis True Image software to take an image (weekly) of my entire drive containing programs & operating system. There are similar other programs which can write to a separate hard or USB drive.
If a serious problem occurs, I restore the last image I have et voila, it's back to a known version.
It saved my butt a number of times.

I export my bookmarks once a week and backup my data to a 500 Gig WD external drive. I don't worry about any software, that can always be reinstalled.
Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.

I agree with Don. Get yourself an external Hard Drive. They are pretty cheap now a days. Just back up documents, data, pictures, movies, favorites, etc. Don't worry about applications since they can be reinstalled easily. Also, every now and then I will burn a DVD with that data on it as well just to have an additional copy. Even external drives go out sometimes.

I use SuperDuper on my Mac
I use SuperDuper on my Mac to make a boot disk backup. I do an incremental backup each night. I also use Time Machine the built in backup system in OS 10.5 to back up files every hour in the background.
If my internal hard drive goes bad, I can boot off of my Boot Disk on my external and use that until I can repair my internal.

Backups are great in those situations. I use a free application, GFI Backup 2009 - Home Edition.
