Unstable Update!!! ***HELP***

I am currently on a trip from Dallas,TX to Orlando,FL and my Garmin 780 has CRASHED, LOCKED UP,and FROZE over 20 times and counting... ONLY after I did the software update to Ver 4.90 and Never before that! HELP!!!... How do I get back to the old version? Do not want to drive back to Dallas with a cripple GPS.

Hard reset maybe
In the off chance it is still not working right, you could do a hard reset. I was given this link for a locking up, screen freezing I had. http://www.poi-factory.com/node/25426 . Great info on how to hard reset it, explained by DorcusNimrod.
Unless you are the lead sled dog, the view never changes. I is retard... every day is Saturday! I still use the Garmin 3590 LMT even tho I upgraded to the Garmin 61 LMT. Bigger screen is not always better in my opinion.
Didn’t Do It This Time
I saw that update. My 780 is working just fine, so I decided not to do the update. Besides, it referred to things in another country. Couldn’t see how that would be necessary here in the good old US of A.
I’ve had trouble with updates in the past and I'm sure that had something to do with my decision also. The 780 has been dumped in the old pile, so wonder why they’d do an update for it?
Anyway, good luck on getting back to the previous system. May be a good idea to stay with it.
