We are a FREE TAX Company (Offshore Corporation), this is why we can practice the most competitive prices for electronics on the Internet. We are an online electronics and gadgets shop retailer with an aim to supply you the best price on the market for online electronics as we do not maintain a physical electronics and gadgets shop with expensive rentals and staff costs, we believe that by operating an online electronics and gadgets shop we are able to pass on the cost savings to our customers.

I agree with MM. It's an offshore company that gives you no recourse for the purchase. They will also have your CC number. Bad idea. You have no idea what you are really buying!

Time is never wasted...It is improperly used .

If it's Grey, STAY AWAY

FWIW, I just went to BJ's website and saw that they've got the 885T for $349.99. I wish that's what I had spent...

Stay away!!!

Stay away!!!

No way!

Sounds shady, I would stay away. A good rule of thumb is to never trust an online seller that does not list and address and phone number.

there is no seal or shrink wrap cover

No Garmin 885T comes "factory sealed".

That is a clue right there as there is no kind of seal or shrink wrap cover on any brand new from the factory 885T box.

Price ???

It's a no go Some how one of theses off shore outfits go hold of my e-mail address and use it to send out there info. I get about 25 e-mails back a day where they have used my name as the sender, but have there name inside the e-mail for your reply. That way they won't be charged with spam.

NO WAY

Way to cheap. STAY AWAY.

what can go wrong

One of the scams that cheap sellers do is to call you soon after you purchase and upsell you on the power cord, manuals and accessory's. They will tell you that you bought just the unit itself, nothing more - at all.

It's reportably a very, very strong armed sell. Many fall for it and end up paying more than they would have at msrp. Many find it impossible to cancel, or having refused to pay up the vendor cancels and then begins a very slow delay before refunding. (presumably in the hopes that a small percentage will just walk away without complaint thinking they were cheated - while paying back those that whined)

It's fairly slick, profit from upsell, profit from the walkaway's, refund the complainers. One could keep the law at bay for a while before having to close down and reopen the next day under a new name. And if ever busted? No fraud, you either shipped the sale or refunded everyone who "properly" asked - you just weren't perfect ...

Scam Vendors

Brooklyn is most famous for it, I believe the fraud came from the camera market before spreading to electronics.

I prefer amazon

Actually I AM in the market now as my folks said. they would like a GPS for Christmas. Have my eye on the 850 and 780. The 850 was until recently $199 (went up to $214), and the 780 is still $199.

There are many "too good to be true" offers on the web, so I often like to use amazon as my portal even if I get it from someone else (earn rewards too). For example, I picked up a Denon A/V receiver at a too good to be true price of $197 when list and sell price was $449 only 1 year ago (today the 1910 goes for list of 549, but next year probably 297). But I trusted it as it was through amazon, the vendor was an authorized Denon etailer (if not = NO WARRANTY), and they have actual stores that I can drive to. Just wanted to share some of the things I would look for when making a purchase.....

Amazon, Dell, etc

I also trust vendors through www.pricewatch.com. Extremely reputable vendors, it aggregates and oversee's the services of dozens - and you'll often find the very best price for an item through them.

Too good to be true

Legit deals are out there, but I wouldn't touch this one.

Fishy

This seems fishy. The price is not consistent.

stay with the shops that you

stay with the shops that you know, saving a few bucks isn't worth your credit history or personal information getting into the wrong hands for a mere $100 savings

Amazon has a New 885 for $188.5 & refub 850 $180 total $368.50 with free shipping vs your $342. + ?? S&H

What you saved between the two units may not be worth the risk of buying on E-bay compared to a place like Amazon or Costco.

Good luck and enjoy the units. I'm sure you will get a nice Valentine's Day hug from your daughter.
