POI on SD card, stop the prompt

When you have the poi on a sd card, it keeps asking if I want to move it over to the Garmin, and I don't, can I keep that prompt from coming up each time?

I don't know if you get the

I don't know if you get the option on the c530 but on my Nuvi there is a check box that says something akin to "don't ask again" (but I don't remember the exact wording), that when checked will silence the prompt. It is near the middle of the dialog. Then hit "yes" or "no" as appropriate.

Maybe on the c530

Maybe on the c530 -- on my Nuvi 350 "yes" or "no" with the box checked makes it go away. I have my POIs on the card and do not get prompted when I turn it on now.

If only "yes" does it for you then you are probably out of luck unless a c530 owner has a neat work around or Garmin updates the firmware.

I had the same concern

It didn't seem logical to hit yes about moving the POI's to the GPS when I didn't want to. I learned about it from the previous thread and have been happy ever since. BTW, when you upload new firmware, you need to reset this again.

Well, I am not going to upgrade the firmware anytime soon, but thanks for the insight.
