Digital FM transmitter

I picked up a digital FM tansmitter yesterday, and the sound quality and volume is increased 100%. If you don't like the quality of the sound, you won't regret buying one. I also recieved my map of Italy on SD card, and according to Garmin you have to use the card, you can not download it into the unit. I guess that's so people don't share. It's a Plug & Play
City Navigator NT Europe, Italy and Greece > So that means when the card is in I won't be able to play my MP3's. I'll be stuck listening to Italian music.

You need to immerse yourself in the culture. That's part of the trip. Leave the mp3's at home.

ha ha ha, that is so funny

ha ha ha, that is so funny because ppl can't understand why I don't listen to the radio. I can't...I have to listen for voice prompts from GPS, alerts from Radar detector, and the CB for speed traps (those are what consist of my culture) and pay attention to the road.

Another Option for Audio

I installed a direct connection into my vehicle's audio system. It uses an input on the radio that was designed for a CD changer - instead, I now have a cord I can plug into the headphone jack on my Nuvi350 and play my MP3s, and Karen interrupts the music when she needs to tell me something.

You can find out if your vehicle has a compatible interface from PIE: www.pie.net or, PAC: www.pac-audio.com

If you want to listen to mp3's, why not put them on the internal memory? You should have an mp3 folder already there with the "demo" mp3's, just put your mp3's in that folder.....However, why don't you also check out your Nuvi's TourGuide capability and use that on you trip to Italy. Check out the following link, you can also download demos to give you an idea of what you'll get. Instructions are given there and are quite simple.
