Garmin updated the C550 Unit Software to Ver 5.5 on March 26th 2007. Thats just 10 days after the last update.

New update for c530
I downloaded the new update and installed it in my c530. Guess I always like to keep the unit up to date with the latest software. (I didn't install the TTS hack, so I didn't see any problem with updating) According to the site, all of the updates seem to be for European use. Also, suprised that they had another update inbetween the March 8th one i.e. 5.4. According to Garmin site, the following are the changes:
Changes made from version 5.40 to 5.50:
Added support for the modified drawing styles present in certain specialty maps
Updated POI menu to display sub-categories in Europe
Corrected French traffic translations
Changes made from version 5.30 to 5.40:
Fixed Extended Postal Code searching used in Great Britain
