Speed Cameras Brazil

I just purchased the Garmin Uvi 265t here in the USA and I am about to move to Brazil I also purchased the downloadable version of "Brazil Maps". Since Brazil's only means of traffic control is the speed cameras, I wonder if anyone tell me where I may be able to locate a safety camera file for Brazil ??

well market

i don't know if there is a file available, but my visits to Brazil indicate that all of the speed cameras are very well marked with warning signs making it very hard to get a ticket from one.

You can walk a horse to water, but a pencil has to be led.

Yes, they are marked(at least the speed cameras are) as well as some of the signal lights but with the traffic and the impatient drivers in Brazil, you had better be paying very close attention. Some of the cameras will record from the front of the car while others from the rear as the cars are required to have tags on the front and back. Many are marked on a sign while others may be marked directly on the street and cannot be seen while raining.

Brazilian Speed Cameras

The Brazilian govt must be reading about the revenue being taken in by the US thru Speed & Redlight cameras.

I visited Chile not too long ago but didn't see any there. Perhaps it was that I was in very rural areas.

What's the world coming too!

Have you seen any 'free' gps

Have you seen any 'free' gps maps of Brazil?

Speed Cameras Brazil

Well I did make it to Brazil.. I am not sure how I did it or if I did it right but I did seemingly put a file in the GPS that supposedly was for speed cameras so will see what will happen. Can anyone say if / how to know other than driving under a camera if the file was installed correctly?? What kind of alert is given... Beep or voice or visible warning ??

I have been in and out of Brazil for the past 21 years and Brazil has had the cameras ever since this time. Their law enforcement on the civilian level is pathetic and corrupt so they depend on the cameras for the income. The tickets are payable at the end of the year when the personal tax is due on the car and if there is a fine, it goes to the car so........ if your best friend is driving your car and get's caught then it is "you" who gets to pay the fine..

Camera Locations Brazil

How to update new cameras that are not on my Brazil safety camera file ?? How would I add red light cameras also ?? Since I have been tryin to bleed information from everyone else, I would like to also pass onto others.. When driving through Brazil one doesn't have time to be jotting down addresses or coordinates.. Any ideas or help ??

SpeedCamera means Radar on Brazil

On http://www.maparadar.com/#home everyone can found updated files of speed cameras.
