Not bad though...I typically get a three year battery and expect to replace in two...which seems to be average.....

Good week to all!!

Everybody have a great week. Hopefully I'll muddle through the intense heat/humidity here in central GA. Never have gotten used to it for sure...

BENNY HILL WAS A GENIUS

my favorite sketch from BENNY HILL was the one where he was sitting in the bar minding his own business.. then some ugly broad that looked like a dude sat down next to him and flirting with Benny.. so benny started drinking the booze fast. and soon enough the ugly broad started to appear like she was beautiful..

Enjoy the mountains there!! We started our vacation there at Cherokee, NC and drove the Blue Ridge Parkway the whole length. Quite a trip, to say the least. A very scenic road to drive. There are 26 tunnels on the Parkway, and 25 of them are in NC, so this should give you some idea of the roads "make-up" in the 2 states. I'm assuming the Dragon is a motorcycle, of which we saw a ton of along the Parkway. A great road to ride a bike on...

Well, it is a road in NC that is 11 miles long and has 318 curves. Should be a challenge, seeing how I live in "flatland USA" LoL

Deal's Gap

I have always wanted to go there. Don't cross the double yellow lines and have a great time!

I've driven Deal's Gap several times

In a 4-wheeler. It's an interesting ride for all concerned, but many times the crazy kids - and I do mean kids - are an accident waiting to happen.

Many of the curves are blind as they are fairly sharp. It's not uncommon to find someone "pushing it for all it's worth" with his wheels on the double line but the entire body of the bike hiked half-way into the oncoming lane. I've almost taken out 3 or 4 kids only because I gave way in my 4000 pound car. Ive also seen the wrecker picking up lead sleds that have gone over the side.

It's a beautiful trip, but be safe.

Rode that once myself and it is a blast, just watch for all the squids riding the sport bikes 90 to nothing down though there. It is a nice ride and when you get to the bottom, check out the tree of shame with all the bike parts hanging from the less fortunate riders.

Great you had to remind me. surprised There is almost 200 of use attending Maggie Valley reunion this year. I think maybe half are going to ride the Dragons Tail. But on Thursday when it isn't so crowded. And not as a group. We ride as a group to get there, but are on our own, so we make up the speed we wish to travel and not pressured to match any one else. I am not going to say it will be fun, personally I don't like twisties, but it will be an experience I haven't done before!!! Ride safe, keep the rubber to the road!! grin

Sounds like a fun time. With that many people, how can it not be? That is a good policy you all have with riding your own ride, especially on the tail. I love the twisties and hunt them out, not that I burn them up, I just have always like to ride them. Luckily here in SE Missouri we have plenty. I hope you have a great time and a safe trip. Give us a ride report when you get back.

Nothing like beating the horse, this has been spoke of so many times, it didn't even get a rise.

35 here

We are right behind you. Just celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary. Took a cruise to Alaska and took my then 265WT on the ship. From our ocean view room it was a pleasure to see the Garmin maps showing us exactly where we where!

After using the 265WT for 3 weeks, I updated to a 765T. Now I am ready to go back and try it again!

Congrats..

Congratulations, just celebrated our 2nd.
