Home Location Lost

I've had an issue with my 770 where the Home location is lost. This has happened twice to me - each about a month apart. When I press 'Where To?' and then Home the unit tells me my home location is not set. However my Home location is still in the favourites.

I have to delete my original favourite (so that there aren't 2 Home favourites) and then re-set my home location.

Just wondering if anyone else has ever had this issue.

A couple of days ago I tried to Go Home and my 760 told me that the home location was not set. However, Home was still in Favorites.

I used Tools, My Data to set the Home location using the existing favorite. Later on I reset Home to "Use current location" because it's been slightly off ever since importing it from my old 680 favorites.

There are now two home locations in Favorites - "Home" and "HOME". From an old backup of current.gpx, I've determined that HOME is the old home location that "disappeared". Strange.

Which SW

Which software and maps version are you using? Have not had the problem with my 760 using 2.6.

Home Location Lost

I have all the latest updates for the 770.

I noticed exactly the same issue as WAASup. A Home and then a HOME. I didn't realize that I could reset the Home location from my favourites. I will do that next time.

Not sure if it was because I didn't use my nuvi for about a week or what might have caused the issue.

4.80

I already have 4.80, so don't expect it to fix this specific issue.

In my case, I'm pretty sure it was caused by MapSource. I was building a road trip in MapSource so I was adding Waypoints and Routes. I had to import Home first so I had my starting point. When I downloaded everything back, it saved a HOME so I now had a Home and a HOME in my favorites. When I deleted one of the duplicate home entries, it turned out that that was the one that the Nuvi was using as the official "home" location. I might have this backwards, where "HOME" is the Nuvi-created home location and "Home" was just the MapSource duplicate waypoint. It's hard to tell...
