My 885T freezes up on me when im just viewing map while im driving and when i use the simulator on this one route i have in the same place everytime.

My 885T freezes up on me when im just viewing map while im driving and when i use the simulator on this one route i have in the same place everytime.
Post the start, end point and the point where the problem occurs
Post the start, end point, map version and the point where the problem occurs of the problem route and others can test it to see what happens.
It can be caused by a custom POI that is located at the point where it freezes.

After reading your previous post that you did an hour prior to this one, it seems more like your GPS isn't functioning properly.

Bad POI
It turns out I had a bad redlight file,I downloaded it again and deleted the old file and sofar it seems ok.
760 Locks Up In Similar Way
In my situation I think I need to be routing to (or back from) someplace more than 10 miles away. The "freezing zone" is in Illinois near the intersection of I-90 and I-290 (Schaumburg/Rolling Meadows, near Woodfield Mall). It's less than 2 miles from my house, so I know where I'm going. It becomes a nuisance when I'm outbound and get to the intersection of the highways and I haven't looked ahead to see which one is recommended by the route. I'll have to try unloading all of my POIs (remove the SD card) and drive by my "freezing zone". There's at least an RLC near the center of this event and several other POI's in the surrounding area. I'll report back after I've tried it several times. Probably next week (7/26/09).
You can simulate the route,
You can simulate the route, and not have to drive it at all. If you can give the coordinates for start and stop, or the location to start and stop, then someone can check it.
You don't have to have a great distance, just a mile or so on one side of the point where it freezes and a mile or so the other side, then run the route in Simulate with and without your SD card.
I'll be willing to bet there is either a bad custom POI there or something on your SD card causing the freezing.
