Loading POIs on your Nuvi 885T

Just got my 885T two days ago, and this took me 3+ hours to figure out. Apparently POIs loaded to the unit will not display properly until after I do a reset by taking out and putting back the battery of the unit.
Question to the other 8xx series owners: are you doing the same thing?

I believe the unit will refresh any newly loaded POIs by sliding the power switch to the left and holding it there for ~10 seconds (a soft reset).
