POI files.

I purchased a Garmin 450 to use on my Harley. It was a lot cheaper than the one Harley sells. I added the Harley dealerships as a POI. On the Harley garmin which in appearance is the same as mine they have a category icon that shows up with the rest of them when you turn on your GPS. My dealerships show up under the Extra's category. How would I or can I add the dealerships as a category on my GPS like the one Harley sells?

Thanks, Patrick

H-D icon in standard WhereTo menu

Garmin sells a POI/TourGuide development kit for $500. That may allow you to add a menu item like the Road Tech units have. Short of that, Extras>Custom POIs is the only available option.

Zumo 550 & Zumo 665 My alarm clock is sunshine on chrome.

POI's

My Garmin actually is a Garmin Zumo 450. Everything is Identical to Harleys except mine is not Bluetooth compatible. I beleive mine is Road Tech but it doesn't say that. It was purchased from Walmart for $525 and came with a motorcycle mount. Harleys is $800 and you have to buy the motorcycle mount. Does that help?

P.S. Mine is also a different color. smile

Or you could get it from

Or you could get it from Amazon for $370.

What Dave is saying is that the Custom POIs that you load will be placed under Extras > Custom POIs. You can't change this unless you want to pay for a Garmin Software Developers Kit.

And if you haven't already do so, come on over to THE Zumo Forums. www.zumoforums.com

$699
