CSV Limitation field size: How to increase the size of the name field?

Hello everyone,

I am working on a CSV file of Total gas stations in Morocco where I am supposed to have something like this in the field name:

"Station Total My Driss 1Er
Carburant - Entretien - Lavage - Boutique"

The output I am having on the nuvi 205 is:

Station Total My Driss 1Er
Carb

Is there any way to increase the size of the name column so as to have everything visible when clicking on the POI icon?

I do not want to put it in the comment field. The user should see the name of the gas station in question and the available services without clicking on "More".

Please help!

the simple answer

NO The 3.5 inch Nuvis will display approximately 20 characters on a line and that's fixed by Garmin. The best possible solution is to build a GPX that will display all the info when a station is selected.

Take your csv file and download it to Extra Poi Editor http://turboccc.wikispaces.com/Extra_POI_Editor .You can use other fields to build on your file to include more informationor or leave as is.Save as a Gpx file and load to your gps.You will see a lot more info now on the first screen.

CSV size fixed

The name field is not extendable for most GPS. Use the name frugally. Obviously it is a service station, so eliminate the word "station"

Station Total My Driss 1Er Carb<--Max length
Total My Driss 1Er Fuel Maint Wash Shop<---still too big

You will either need to abbreviate more or perhaps make up to 4 POIs per location:
Total My Driss 1Er Maint
Total My Driss 1Er Fuel
Total My Driss 1Er Wash
Total My Driss 1Er Shop
