"No Detailed Maps Found ..."

I tried to upgrade to a newer map and have now RUINED my nuvi 200w!

I 'copied' my map files before I began.

Now that my attempt at upgrading failed, I am trying to 'paste' my original files back onto my nuvi but now it is saying that I do NOT have enough space!

How is that possible when I just took the files OFF of the exact same unit?

I even tried cleaning-up space by removing vehicals, voices, poi files, etc .... still NOTHIHNG!

HELP! HELP! HELP!

upgrading

It is possible, because when upgrading unit can get some new files or some temporary files that usually are deleted after upgrade.
I had power loss during upgrading maps on my nuvi, but after I get my computer back on, I just run update again and it went flawlessly this time.
If this will not work, just contact garmin and ask them, what to do. And you need to be more specific about what was the reason that your update failed.

What version of maps were you updating to?

Very sorry to hear of your experience! I guess I'll just stay with the old maps and just deal with the knowledge that I won't have the "latest and greatest". But...that'll be offset by the fact that my little old 200W still works---indispensible for me these days.

I hope you're able to recover your unit somehow.

Just call Garmin

Just call Garmin and tell them what happened. Don't bother with email - call them and wait for someone to talk with you live.

That's definitely not good. Can you clarify what happened when the map update failed? And what was your nuvi doing that caused you to declare it ruined?
