What would you buy?

OK, I have a couple of hundred bucks in gift cards and rewards at BestBuy. I'm willing to kick in another hundred or so towards a new Garmin. I want to give my SP340c to my wife to keep in her car, and I want to get a new GPSr. I would like some of the bells and whistles, but not all. I would like TTS, turn by turn, "where am I?', lane assist and that kind of stuff. An MP3 player would be nice to get the custom voices and sounds, as would lane assist. I don't need jpeg capability, Bluetooth, and all the really upscale features.

So, with a budget of #300 - $350, what would you get?

Thanks.

Garmin 765T...Is it about the destination, or is it about the journey?

No Luck

If you are forced to purchase the gps at BestBuy it appears they don't have any models with lane assist in your price range. I checked their website and the only two models they have with lane assist are the 885 (on sale for $400) and the 855 ($500).

You may want to reconsider the need for lane assist. From what I've read the lane assist feature isn't yet widely available. Some people have reported that they've never even seen the feature while driving!!

Low on the list

Thanks. Lane assist is low on the list of features, so I can take it or leave it. Any thoughts as to what they do have available at BB?

Features

For me the feature I rate highly is the ability of the GPS to know what time zone it is in.

Seems kinda simple, wouldn't think? But according to Garmin, the only ones that know what time zone they are in ( and automatically change time zones) are the 7x5 series.

But I don't believe BB carries the 7X5 series.

If you ain't got pictures, I wasn't there.

2x5 also has the automatic

2x5 also has the automatic time zone.It looks like that has became a standard feature for all the new models being released.
