voice update and map 2010.2

I updated the six English voices and tested "Jill" today. I see no improvement. To be more specific: First, the one issue I've had with the recent Jills is pronunciation of the [rather GPS-important] word "left." Left was pronounced well before and continues to be correct now when saying something like "In point two miles, turn left on Arizona 87." But when the word left appears at the end of a sentence--like "Arriving at home...on left."--the word "left" is total gibberish. I have no idea how to even attempt pronouncing what Jill says. This latest TTS voice update, including Jill, has no effect on my end-of-sentence "Jill" gibberish. Luckily, Jill is the only voice affected by this, so I may just stick with Karen or Emily. Second, although I won't swear to this to this yet, the newest Jill (v2.30) may have a very slight lag compared to earlier Jills. It's not at all like the earlier fiascos months ago where most TTS announcements lagged by 0.1-0.2 miles, but I do think there's a slight lag in the newest Jill for upcoming turns compared to the previous v2.2 Jill. I'll test more soon and also look towards Karen and the other voices.

Regarding map 2010.2: if I remember right, only one person reported the existence of such a map--and since many others have reported its non-existence, no one has been able to find it. I feel that the person who posted the appearance of 2010.20 was probably mistaken and was referring to the 2010.10 map.

Regarding the 2010.2 update. It has been just over two months since the last update 2010.1 emerged. So I wouldn't expect another to roll out until the middle of July.

I just bought a Nuvi with NT2009. Should I wait until 2010.2 is ready or update the map now? If I update the map now, within 2-month can I update it again when 2010.2 comes out?

I would recommend waiting until the next update which will likely be released in July.
