Any one done with their Europe travels who would like to sell their Europe maps? Looking for France, Belgium and the Netherlands specifically.
Thanks.

Check on ebay - and not just your local - go international.
"used" maps
I'm not sure you can do it this way. Garmin maps are activated for specific device, and for any other you still have to buy separate activation number (and it cost as much as new maps). They say so when you read about activating. You can buy "used" maps from somebody, but they will not work in your device unless you activate them with number specific to your device (for a fee, of course).
SD card
When I went to Italy, I bought a SD card with the Italy map on it. I don't remember having to activate it.
Check this great summary

Here's the best summary I've seen recently of abilities, pros and cons for maps: preloaded SD cards vs. DVD:

Of particular interest for the original poster is item #2 in the "pros" for preloaded SD cards. So for folks looking for European maps for their North American nuvi, for instance, buying a used copy of a Garmin-preloaded European map on an SD card from someone who no longer needs it will be successful. But it will not be successful to buy someone's European map DVD and expect it to install for you with the DVD's already-used Activation Code.
Thanks
Thanks for that informative post. Now to find a pesky Europe SD card............

Thanks for that informative post. Now to find a pesky Europe SD card............
If worse comes to worse, it does appear that many folks look for and only need short-term access to a European map. Given that, a vacationer to Europe could consider buying the preloaded European SD card new from Garmin, then sell it on eBay after returning to North America from their vacation.
It looks as though copies are being sold for at least $52:

i have a used ORIGINAL --
would be happy to sell it for $50.00.

Buy a Nuvi 770, then sell your Nuvi 750
You can buy a refurbished Nuvi 770 for about $230.
Good comparison

Thanks for the link. It was really helpful.
Any Nuvi should work.
SD card maps for one Nuvi should work with another Nuvi. My 250W Europe SD maps work in a 750 and even do all the speech stuff they do not do in the 250. Just check compatibility for the model (but watch that warning about maps on DVD - no idea why they should be different). To keep it legal only use the original SD card (but you should keep a backup).
